Orlando Airport - domestic and international travel increased in July
July proved to be the second busiest month of the year so far at Orlando International Airport. More than 3.2 million travelers moved through the airport in July, only slightly behind March of this year. The overall increase of 5.32 percent reflects welcomed domestic growth and double-digit international gains for the month.

United Airlines reports August 2010 operational performance
United Airlines today reported its preliminary consolidated traffic results for August 2010. Total consolidated revenue passenger miles increased in August by 2.5% on an increase of 1.7% in available seat miles compared with the same period in 2009.

Air Berlin: More passengers in August
In August 2010, Air Berlin transported 3,726,913 passengers, i.e. an increase of 8.7 percent (August 2009: 3,428,729 passengers, including those traveling on the acquired NIKI and TUIfly routes). Fleet capacity utilization decreased by 0.8 percentage points, i.e. from 84.3 to 83.5 percent.

American Airlines to begin service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Rio de Janeiro
American Airlines today announced it will begin three days a week service between Dallas/Fort Worth, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil starting Dec. 16. The seasonal service will run through April 4, 2011, and then resume for the summer season between June 9, 2011, and Aug. 22, 2011.

British Airways announces new codeshare with Kingfisher Airlines
British Airways and Indian carrier Kingfisher Airlines are to start codesharing on each other's flights across India, Sri Lanka, the UK and continental Europe from September 15, 2010. This follows Kingfisher Airlines acceptance of an invitation to join the oneworld alliance earlier this year.

SAS Group traffic figures August 2010
SAS Group's traffic increased by 7.0% during August and capacity was increased 4.2% vs same period in 2009. The load factor improved to 78.2%, record high for August. SAS Group carried 2.2 million passengers in August, up 7.3% vs. same period in 2009.

Leisure traffic was slightly less dynamic than in August 2009 which had seen robust levels of activity. Traffic declined by 1.2% for capacity down by 0.9%. The load factor remained high at 84.5%.
