Entry Requirements:

Nationals of all countries except the following may enter Morocco for stays of up to 3 months without a visa.

Nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Congo (Rep), Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Korea (Rep), Kuwait, Libya, Liechtenstein, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Niger, Norway, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela require visas.


Currency:

The Currency of Morocco is the dirham. It is divided into 100 centimes. Travelers cheques are normally only accepted at banks. Most hotels accept credit cards and most banks have ATM machines.

WHAT TO DO

Marrakech

Marrakech has a thousand years of history behind its 12 kilometers of red city walls. Visit mosques, places, Jamaaa El-Fna square and souks (markets). The riads (guesthouses are charming - great places to stay and soak up the culture of the city. Mountains and desert areas are also close by.

Fez

Fez is a fascinating city surrounded by ramparts making you feel like you've stepped back into the Middle Ages. It retains its French heritage. It is full of famous religious and cultural buildings such as the Bou Inania Medersa, the Attarine Medersa and the Karaouiyne mosque. The hammams (spas) in Fez are a must.

Casablanca

Casablanca is the ultra-modern city of Morocco which includes sandy beaches along its Atlantic coast. Despite being modern and Morocco's economic capital, it retains its cultural past.

Hammam Treatments

Hammam treatments meld the best of tradition with modern technology to include seawater therapy, balneotherapy, hydrotherapy and spa treatments. Exfoliation with back soap, henna or ghasoul wrap and massage with essential oils are just some of the treatments available. A great way to relax. Wellness centres provising these treatments are available in most large hotels throughout the country.

Climate:

In July and August the desert ares can reach 38C. April/October time is more comfortable with highs averaging 28C. In January this drops to 18C as a high with the temperatures dropping close to zero at night.
